Tameka Jones, who grew up in St. Paul’s Rondo neighborhood, was a makeup artist for additional than 20 decades when she was furloughed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But which is when she took her destiny into her have hands, and her dream of launching her possess cosmetics company turned a fact. She took all her cost savings to make her individual line of lipsticks, called Lip Esteem. And irrespective of the pandemic and persons putting on masks, she identified a lot results at area pop-up functions that she opened her own retailer in the Rondo neighborhood on Friday afternoon.
